Therefore the practice has always been keen to involve and work closely with farriers in the treatment and management of appropriate orthopaedic cases.
Close communication via the telephone, farriery prescriptions and face to face meetings ensure a team approach to provide the best of care for your horse.

Remedial shoeing is extensively used and makes a significant contribution to the successful treatment of a variety of orthopaedic and lameness cases.
We work closely with local farriers and are happy to discuss any problems with them to ensure a smooth treatment plan for your horse.
